Your mark stitched straight into the fabric with rayon or polyester thread. It cannot crack, peel or wash off, which is why uniforms and caps are embroidered rather than printed. Detail finer than about 4 mm is redrawn for stitch before we start.
Ink pushed through a mesh screen, one screen per colour. Gives the strongest, most opaque colour on flat surfaces and stays economical at volume.
Artwork printed onto film and pressed into the fabric under heat. Full colour without a screen per colour, so it beats screen print on short runs and on designs carrying gradients or photographs.
Ink turned to gas under heat and bonded into polyester or a coated surface, so the image sits in the material rather than on it. Nothing to peel, and the only method that carries a photograph across a whole mug or garment.
