A National Day giveaway is not a smaller gift. It is a different object with a different job: it has to be visible on the day, it has to reach everyone, and it has to be handed out in minutes rather than presented one at a time. Companies in Doha order them by the hundred and the thousand for staff, for event gates and for client visits in the week before 18 December. This is what works, why, and how to order it in quantity.
What a giveaway has to do
- Be seen. The point is the maroon and white on the day — on a desk, a car, a lanyard, a shoulder. A giveaway that lives in a drawer has failed.
- Reach everyone. It is ordered against a headcount or a gate count, not a list of names, and there is no sizing to collect.
- Distribute fast. A box at reception, a table at the town hall, a bag on every desk before people arrive. Anything that needs a ceremony is a gift, not a giveaway.
The five giveaways that do the job
Desk flags and car flags
The most-ordered category at National Day, and the one most often ordered late. A desk flag on a base sits in the eyeline for the whole of December; a car flag turns the fleet into part of the celebration. The choice is the fitting — base, window clip or pole — not the print. National Day flags and celebration pieces.
Badges and pins
The smallest giveaway and the one with the longest reach: worn on the day, kept in a drawer, worn again next year. Magnet-backed badges avoid pinholes in uniforms, which matters for front-of-house teams. The emblem and the company mark share a small face, so the artwork is usually simplified for it.
Scarves
The giveaway that photographs best. A scarf in the national colours with the company emblem embroidered or printed at one end works for staff photos, event teams and the crowd at a gate. No sizes, one design, and it survives washing if it is embroidered. National Day apparel and accessories.
Wristbands
Silicone wristbands are the quantity giveaway for events: they distribute at a gate, they double as access control, and they carry a short line of text. Order them against the expected gate count with a margin, because they are the easiest line to run out of on the day.
Tote bags
The largest print area of anything in the collection, which makes a tote the most visible carrier of a logo at an activation — and the bag the rest of the giveaways go home in. National Day event accessories and bags.
Giveaway or gift — where the line is
Most companies over a few hundred people do both from one visual family: a giveaway for everyone and a gift for managers, long-service staff or clients. The giveaway carries the day; the gift is what is kept. Drinkware, technology and boxed sets belong on the gift side of the line — see the full Qatar National Day corporate gifts collection for all six ranges, and National Day gift ideas by headcount and tier for how the two sides fit together. The five flagship sets and the four ranges, with the photography and the story behind them, are on the Qatar National Day 2026 collection page.
Branding that survives a giveaway
Giveaways are handled roughly and used once or many times, so the branding method matters more than it does on a boxed gift.
- Print — pad, screen or UV — carries full colour onto badges, wristbands, flags and totes, and handles the largest areas. The route when the artwork must match the brand exactly.
- Embroidery on scarves and caps survives washing and reads as the most considered method. Fine detail and gradients do not stitch, so a logo with either is simplified first.
- Laser engraving marks metal badges and pins permanently, in a single tone.
Whichever route, a branded proof comes back for written approval before anything goes to production, and that proof is where the emblem, your mark and the colours are settled together.
Ordering in quantity: minimums, routes, timing
Minimums are per product, not per order. The lowest in the collection start at fifty units on a seven-day route — enough for one department — and the quantity giveaways run to the thousands. Two lead times apply across the collection: in-stock lines branded in our Doha workshop ship in 7 to 14 working days; made-to-order and imported lines take 21 days. Every product page states which of the two it is on.
Working back from 18 December: artwork confirmed by 5 November is proofed, branded and delivered before 10 December, ahead of the week when everything in Doha closes. Giveaways are the easiest order to place late and the worst to receive late, because the day does not move.
Three giveaway packs, by tier
- One piece. A desk flag or a badge for everyone. The whole company dressed for the day from a single line.
- Two pieces. A scarf and a badge, or a flag and a wristband — one worn, one placed.
- The desk pack. A tote carrying a desk flag, a badge and a scarf, on every desk before people arrive. The pack that photographs as a whole office.
Send the headcount, the sites and the date with your enquiry and the quotation itemises the product, the branding route and the delivery schedule against them. For the day itself — the date's history, Darb Al Saai, the holiday — see Qatar National Day 2026: date, history and traditions.
